Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. Do you have a car park?

We have two free carparks. One next door to the pharmacy another larger one on the other side of the medical Centre. On Thornley Street drive past the medical centre turn right and the carpark is easily visible on your right.

  • Q. Do you have a baby feeding room?

We do have a baby feeding room. We advise that you do not feed your baby when you arrive at the clinic but encourage you to do so after the procedure.

  • Q. Do you have a prayer room?

We don't have a dedicated prayer room, but we can provide you with a quiet space and prayer mat.

  • Q. Can we bring a relative of friend with us?
  • We allow up to 4 adults to attend with one child. We strongly advised to leave other children at home or with a relative

  • Q. How long does the procedure take?

The procedure itself takes about 10 minutes. Before we can do the procedure, we need to give the numbing cream time to work then you need to wait for a while afterwards to make sure baby is well. Most people are ready to leave within two hours.

  • Q. Do you offer a follow up appointment?
  • We have an open-door policy. You can come and visit us as often as you need till your baby has recovered. There is no extra cost to any follow-up appointments.

  • Q. Is the procedure painful?

We put a numbing cream on first. After 30-40 minutes we give injections at the base of the penis. We the wait for 5 minutes and test the skin before we start. Babies can cry for all sorts of reasons but if its felt that the baby is having pain the we will give a little bit more anaesthetic. The procedure itself should be painless.
